The Ramadan Shopping Festival was a physical event hosted in Sydney, targeting the Desi (Indian and Pakistani) audience during the holy month of Ramadan. The event featured food stalls, clothing, jewelry, mehndi, and a festive marketplace atmosphere. My role was to design all print marketing materials to promote the event and decorate the venue with cohesive, professional branding.
The objective was to create a series of vibrant, visually appealing print templates that captured the spirit of Ramadan while remaining versatile and editable for future events. I designed everything with high reusability in mind — providing the client with fully editable source files so they could easily update content like dates, contact details, and timings without needing a designer each time.
The visual language leaned into rich magenta-purple gradients paired with golden accents and decorative Islamic motifs. Elements like lanterns, moon crescents, stars, and archways were integrated to evoke a celebratory and spiritual ambiance, making the designs instantly relatable for a Ramadan-themed audience.
These templates were used across digital and physical locations to promote the festival. The designs helped elevate the event’s credibility, attract more foot traffic, and create a unified festive experience at the venue itself. The client was especially happy with the template approach, as it made future use easier and more scalable.
